How to stop timer of a trial software in Registry?

You need to remove all traces of the software from your registry (See, Fix application path problems). If the registry keys from the trail software still exist. It make conflict with the new install. This happens because both applications will be sharing different files.



Following is the steps to edit the Registry manually (Note: it's better to backup your registry first before you do any changes on it. See, How to backup Registry?)

1. Click "Start"
2. Click "Run"
3. Type "regedit" into the command line and press enter. The registry should load for your review.
4. Search the following areas for any remnants of the program

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREHKEY_LOCAL_M... the above two registry keys for any folder associated with the program removed.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCURRENTCONTROL... the services in the above folder. Look here for any services that are linked to the program. This action will ensure that the program is completely removed from your computer's registry.
