Good: quickly backup and restore the hard drive, supports nearly all the systems

Bad: Although it offers a detailed Help File, I still think that EasyClone 2008 Technician is not as easy as its name.

Benefits: When you meet the following situations, EasyClone 2008 Technician is just what you need.
1. Update the old harddisk to a bigger one
2. Backup your important files in order to avoid losing them considering that disk crash maybe happens anytime.
3. Clone your entire OS to a new PC
Since I like storing classical DVD videos in my computer, my old 80GB hard drive is not enough to me, so I choose a 160GB hard drive to replace it. What I have to do is moving my data to the new drive. Now with EasyClone 2008 Technician’s help, all my files, letters, photos are in place on my new drive. Very cool!! It provides a high quality solution that everything went very fast.
Not only does it support Windows XP/Vista, but it is compatible with Unix or linux, furthermore, it supports large varieties of hardware, such as EIDE, SATA, and SCSI hard drives. And the most important thing is that its customer service is much better than many competitors’. (Geez, you'd think I work for them if you were reading this)

Set up:
The download file of EasyClone 2008 Technician is a self-extracting archive, first you have to release it. 40MB harddisk space is enough for installation. There is no adware, spyware or virus combined with this utility. 40MB disk space is a little bigger comparing with other soft wares with the same functions. But today, users’s harddisk space is up to 80GB on average, 40MB can be ultimately ignored.
The uninstallation is as simple as installation; you can easily remove the entire program when you never need it.
Interface:
The interface of this smart facility is concise, following the navigation, I start to backup my files. But I felt disappointed, it didn’t work the first time I tried it. After I looked up the Help File, I found that “Please make sure that your CDROM is the first bootable device in your BIOS setting”. And then, I checked the BOIS setting (EasyClone 2008 Technician offers the “How to”), my first bootable device is HDD-0. I tried again after I changed it to CDROM, this time, it works. The speed of cloning is amazing and I know how to check BIOS setting, what I have gained makes me feel excited rather than disappointed now!

System Requirements:
The minimum requirements are as follow:
PC 586 or higher, 120 MHz, 64 MB RAM, VGA; Keyboard: Standard, PS/2 or USB (HID); Mouse (optional): serial, PS/2 or USB (HID);
Bootable CD/DVD drive; At least one Harddisk(Size ≥ 4GB).
I have installed this program in a desktop PC with AMD Sempron(tm) 2500+ CUP (1.75GHz), 512MB RAM, and 80G hard disk. The process of cloning my data executed smoothly. My PC’s configuration is common among today users’, if you think your configuration is better than the minimum, and you want to copy/clone your data, don’t hesitate, and just try it.

Conclusion:
EasyClone 2008 Technician is an excellent soft ware, when you have tried it, you will be really impressed with this pretty utility. Although I got confused when I first used this software, I have got confused by all apps with the similar functions. Comparing with other programs, I think it is truly easier to use than many others.
Recommended?
Yes.
