Pros: It could extract drivers from the hard disk and back them up to a location of your choice, and then you could restore device drivers from backup easily and quickly.
Cons: The interface is concise but doesn’t fit for Windows Vista. There is a lack of semi-transparent element, so it looks a little rough.
Benefit:
As we all known, correct mature drivers will obviously increase the performance of hardware. However, it is quite difficult for us to find the drivers and identify whether they’re out of date. So, we need a utility to help us manage the drivers. Driver Magician is a nice choice, which saves us lots of time, and does an amazing job.
With Driver Magician’s help, you could easily keep the drivers up to date to optimize your system, and all the work could be done in minutes. Driver Magician is quite easy to use, a novice could operate it well, let alone an advanced user.
As far as I’m concerned, I often reinstall/upgrade my operating system. All the drivers about the windows system are provided by Microsoft. However, I have to install the non-Microsoft drivers in order to let mainboard, display card, sound card and other hardware devices work normally. I used to install these drivers from the disks the developers offer. It is definitely a boring thing and takes a lot of time, let alone the driver disks may be easily damaged. Driver Magician could identify all the hardware in the system, extract their associated drivers from the hard disk and backs them up to a location of your choice. Then when you format and reinstall your operating system from the backup easily and quickly. It is very convenient, isn’t it?
Set up:
Simply double-click the Setup program and the installation is automatic. The Setup program will issue a number of prompts. Unless you have a reason to override the defaults it is strongly recommended that you accept the default installation settings (just press OK, Yes, or Next, as appropriate). There is no third-party plug-ins as well as malware combined with the setup program, so, you could easily and without hesitations to finish the installation.
If you don’t need this program anymore, you could uninstall it quickly and thoroughly. It offers us an Uninstall button, hit it, the entire program will be removed from your computer.
Interface:
The interface is quite simple for this program. You have a basic window where your drivers are displayed and you simply click the ones that you want to back up. In the ‘backup’ option, you get to choose between backing up all or only the non-Microsoft drivers.
System Requirements:
Before installing Driver Magician, it is necessary that your system includes the following components:
Pentium 166MHz or greater; Windows© 98, SE, ME, 2000, XP, 2003 or Vista; 32 MB of available RAM (64 MB recommended) plus 5 MB of available disk space for installation.
Conclusion:
This program could easily and quickly handle the driver things. It’s something you should get before you have to deal with a full driver restore. According to its excellent performance, I strongly commend it to you guys.
