Entering Addresses Individually into the Whitelist

When Spam Shredder incorrectly categorizes e-mail from a sender whose e-mail you want, you should add that sender to your whitelist. Spam Shredder then lets e-mail from that address go to your inbox in your e-mail client. In essence, Spam Shredder ignores e-mail from addresses on your whitelist.

Step Introduction icon To add individual e-mail addresses to your whitelist:

  1. Start Spam Shredder, if it is not already running, and display the main window.
  2. In the icon panel, click Whitelist.
  3. Click Add E-mail Address.
    • The Edit E-mail Address window displays.
  4. Enter the address you want to add to your whitelist.
    • Enter the address in the format: login_name@domain_name (for example, tom@webroot.com).
  5. Click OK.
    • To edit an address, select it and click Edit E-mail Address. To delete an address from the whitelist, select it and click Delete E-mail Address.
