Entering Addresses Individually into the Whitelist
When Spam Shredder incorrectly categorizes e-mail from a sender whose e-mail you want, you should add that sender to your whitelist. Spam Shredder then lets e-mail from that address go to your inbox in your e-mail client. In essence, Spam Shredder ignores e-mail from addresses on your whitelist.
To add individual e-mail addresses to your whitelist:
- Start Spam Shredder, if it is not already running, and display the main window.
- For more information, see Starting Spam Shredder.
- In the icon panel, click Whitelist.
- For information about the Spam Shredder window, see Understanding the Spam Shredder Window.
- Click Add E-mail Address.
- Enter the address you want to add to your whitelist.
- Enter the address in the format: login_name@domain_name (for example, tom@webroot.com).
- Click OK.
