Defragment
Overview of Defragment Hard Drive wizard
View Progress
The Defragmentation screen initially shows the progress of the defragmentation.
The Results pane on the left displays an incremental progress bar with the percentage of processing complete, lists the files currently being processed, and provides an estimated completion time.
The right side of the screen shows a real-time graphical presentation of the defragmentation in progress.
You can click Pause to temporarily halt the process (click Resume to restart), or click Cancel to stop the process (click Re-Defrag to re-start the process).
View Report
When the defragmentation is finished, a Defragmentation complete message displays in the Results pane.
You can click View Report to see the Fragmentation Analysis Report. This report shows items not defragmented (due to being locked or in use) and allows you process them for defragmentation at boot-time. Refer to Fragmentation Analysis Report for detailed instruction on using this window.
Close
When you are finished, you can do one of the following:
Click Exit on the bottom of the screen to return to the Home page.
Click the Close icon (X) at the top of the screen to close System Mechanic.
