The "I want to" Pane – Get the Right Tool for the Job
To access:
See the I want to pane on the top, right side of the Home page.
What it does:
The "I want to" pane provides simple, categorized access to all of System Mechanic's repair, optimization, and monitoring tools.
Why use it:
From the "I want to" pane, you can run the exact tools that suit your needs.
The step-by-step wizards give you total control over what repairs and optimizations are run, with the settings that you specify.
The system configuration tools allow you to monitor, control, and fine-tune settings so that your PC is tailored to your specifications.
The diagnostic tools provide detailed system reporting and allow for advanced troubleshooting.
Instructions:
From the "I want to" pane, click on the category that suits your needs, and then the applicable tools will display at the top of the pane.
You can then run a "Total Solution" (which incorporates several essential tools into one wizard) or pick a specialized repair or optimization.
