RegCure
General Settings
There are several settings that you can configure to provide automatic functionality. These include:
- Shutdown RegCure after repair.
- Automatically repair items after scanning.
- Create a system restore point before repairing errors. (This is for Windows XP and Vista only.)
- Check for RegCure updates automatically.
- Prompt me before downloading the update.
To view the settings:
Click the Settings button in the Main window.
Recommendations and Notes
The following are recommendations and notes related to automatic functionality.
Automatic Repair
Recommendation: You can perform an automatic repair of detected items after a scan but it is best to examine the list of detected errors produced during step 3 of the scan. In this way you have the ability to remove only items that you know are invalid. See Scan for more.
System restore point for Vista and XP
The system restore point option is available if you are using Windows Vista or Windows XP. When this is selected a system restore point is created before the fix errors process begins. To access the system restore you can go to Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools | System Restore
Updates
RegCure automatically checks for updates each time it starts unless you clear this option. You can also check for updates any time you want by doing the following:
Click the Check for Updates button.
