How do I Install Recover My Files
Minimum Installation Requirements
Recover My Files has the following minimum installation requirements:
Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista
10 megabytes of disk space
128 megabytes of RAM
Files can only be saved to an alternate physical drive or directly to a CD or DVD, and cannot be saved onto the same drive from where they are being recovered . This can be another partition on your existing hard drive, another hard drive, Iomega Zip®, Jazz® , Orb, USB 'Pen Drive', LS-120, floppy disk, network drive, server volume, writeable CD or DVD etc.
Please read "Where to run Recover My Files" before installing Recover My Files.
Internet Download - Installation
Recover My Files can be downloaded from the Internet at www.RecoverMyFiles.com. The installation file downloaded from the Internet is called "RecoverMyFiles-Setup.exe". Run this program and follow the installation wizard.
Installing from CD
Insert the Recover My Files CD into you computer, select the option to install Recover My Files and follow the on screen instructions. Once you have installed from CD, press the "Update" button to download the latest version.
Running Recover My Files Directly From CD
Recover My Files can be run directly from CD. If you have purchased the retail version, then the option exists on the CD menu. If you are creating your own CD, in order to make the CD permanently registered you will need to include with the program file "RecoverMyFiles.exe" another file called "RecoverMyFiles.ini" containing your registration details. "RecoverMyFiles.ini" must contain only the following text:

Program Registration
The program registration key needs to be entered into the program to activate the ability to save recovered files. To learn how to register Recover My Files, click here.
To Upgrade to the latest Version of Recover My Files
If you are upgrading to the latest version of Recover My Files there is no need to un-install previous versions. Just download and install the latest version from www.recovermyfiles.com. If you have previously registered Recover My Files you should not need to re-insert your registration details. However, you may need to update your registration key.
Un-Install
To un-install the Recover My Files, go to the Windows Control Panel and select "Add/Remove Programs".
