Suggestion:

It is possible that a corrupt file or a physical error on your hard drive may cause Recover My Files to stall. We suggest:

1. Try changing the files types that you are searching for as it is possible that a specific file type is causing the problem;

2. Note the cluster number (above the search bar) and stop the search prior to it reaching the problem area. Save relevant files located. Select Options / Advanced, and place a tick in the box to "Prompt for start cluster number". Restart the search after the problem cluster.

Problem:

The search is very slow.

Suggestion:

Reduce the number of file types that you are searching for. We suggest between 1 and 10 file types. Text files and MP3 files will slow the search down considerably. Conduct a separate search for these file types.
