Before getting started with the program, we recommend that you learn a little about the threats that your computer can be subjected to, how they penetrate your system, and what the consequences are.
Next, you can read about the key features of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0.
To start working with the program, we recommend that you read through the information in the Getting Started section. It contains a description of the first steps you need to take to ensure the security of your computer.
Help texts are accompanying by warnings, tips, and examples that we recommend reading thoroughly. Warning text is red, and tips and comments are green.
We have tried to make using the program as simple as possible. Practically every operation and task described in help links directly to those actions in the program. To do you so, you need only use the 
button. A window will open where you can perform the operation described in Help.
You can search for information in Help by key word or by operation or task that you want the program to perform.
You can search by keyword on the Index and Search tabs. The difference is that:
- The Index tab contains a list of key words that are indicative of the basic functions of the program and terms that users may have questions about. When you select the appropriate key word, you will see a list of sections where you can read information on the keyword.
- On the Search tab, you can enter a key word in the search field and Help will display a selection of Help sections where that word is found.
You can search by operation using Help contents. We have tried to organize it so that you can find the answers to your question as quickly as possible. To make searching easier, descriptions are broken down into the components, tasks, and support services of Kaspersky Anti-Virus in the same way as the program interface. For each component:
- A description and its purpose within the program are given and the operation algorithms are examined.
- The various statuses that a component may have in the process of program operation are explained.
- Component operation is covered in depth: how to pause it, disable it, and enable it again.
- Component settings are described, and examples are given.
- Operation statistics are discussed.
